This blog all started with a conversation and a quote…

“Life is too short not to wear the shoes I want.”

What does this mean exactly?

For years I had been saving my cute outfits, full face of makeup and best stilettos for special events and the weekends. Eventually I realized I spent most of my time during the week portraying an image of myself that was a SEVERELY watered down version of who I actually am. I was shy, withdrawn and exponentially less fabulous.

With this epiphany, I entered my “koukla era”: the time in my life when I finally embraced my interests and image on a daily basis, and stopped being apologetic about my queen status. I got vanity plates on my car, reorganized my closet(s) and spent time reflecting on how I wanted others to see me.

Join me as I embark on this journey to self-actualizing into the fabulous diva doll I was always meant to be.
